LIHUE, Hawaii–Kauai Teachers FCU has introduced a new name.
The $52.5-million Kauai Teachers is now Kauai Ohana Federal Credit Union.
“This transformation reflects the credit union’s growing and diverse membership while honoring its deep-rooted commitment to the Kauai community,” the credit union said in a statement.

The new name also comes with a new logo and a new slogan: “Ohana Means Family, Family Means Trust.”
“Our new name embraces what we have always been-a financial partner that treats every member like family,” CEO Conrad Rualizo said in a statement. “As our membership has expanded, it was time for a name that truly represents all of Kauai. While our look has changed, our values and service remain the same.”
What Logo Symbolizes
Kauai Ohana said the refreshed logo symbolizes unity, strength, and the spirit of ohana, reinforcing the credit union’s mission to provide personalized financial solutions for the entire island.
KOFCU, founded in 1938, has approximately 3,700 members.
