POCATELLO, Idaho–Lookout Credit Union said it has entered into a partnership with Julian Bowie, a standout student-athlete and local success story who led Pocatello High School to a state championship in basketball and who now plays guard at Boise State University.
Bowie is currently a sophomore pursuing a degree in business at BSU.
“This partnership marks an important expansion of Lookout Credit Union’s mission to enrich the lives of our members and the communities we serve,” the $291-million LCU said in a statement. “Through this collaboration, we aim to further promote financial well-being, foster market leadership, and increase brand awareness—all while supporting a student-athlete who exemplifies excellence both on and off the court.”

“We’re excited to welcome Julian to the Lookout family. His leadership, both on and off the court, makes him an ideal partner to help us connect with the next generation on the importance of financial education,” VP-Marketing BJ Fillingham said in a statement. “Julian is a shining example of the talent and heart found in the Pocatello community, and we’re proud to collaborate with him.”
‘Passionate About Community’
Added Bowie in a statement, “Obviously, I’m from this area and I’m passionate about community, but also, I’m doing something new and I’m excited to learn more about Lookout CU and things we can accomplish together. Our affiliation will dovetail nicely with what I’m learning about in my business classes.
“Promoting and encouraging financial health is important not only for myself, but for my teammates and peers,” Bowie continued. “As a student-athlete, it really helps to have Lookout Credit Union on my team to help guide my financial journey.”
