Maine State CU Announces Two Promotions

AUGUSTA, Maine–Maine State Credit Union has announced two promotions. Mitch Ryan has been named SVP-technology, and Jennifer Bechard has been promoted to SVP-humanresources.

MSCU said Ryan has played a key role in advancing its technology strategy, overseeing infrastructure modernization, digital services, and cybersecurity initiatives. 

“He is also leading the development of a new business intelligence team, focusing on utilizing data analytics to drive growth,” Maine State said. “A proud alumnus of Thomas College, Mitch is recognized for his leadership and commitment to professional development throughout the organization.”

“I love the innovative and collaborative approach we take at Maine State Credit Union,” said Ryan. “There’s a true team spirit here, and we’re always looking for ways to provide our members with the tools and services they need to succeed, especially through the strategic adoption of new technology and solutions.”

Mitch also serves as an assistant basketball coach at Thomas College and sits on the board of New England Tech Hub, supporting technology leadership across the region.

Bechard has been instrumental in shaping the Maine State’s employee-focused culture, the CU said. As SVP-human resources, she ensures HR strategy aligns with business objectives. As Maine State Credit Union continues to grow rapidly, Bechard will focus on recruiting top talent across Maine who share the credit union’s values and vision.

Bechard is also a Thomas College alumna and an active member of the Augusta community. She currently serves as president of the board of directors for the Augusta Food Bank and as a trustee for the Lithgow Public Library.
