Man With Gunshot Wounds Enters CU Branch, Still Holding Gun

MOBILE, Ala– A man complaining of two self-inflicted gunshot wounds walked into a credit union here on Thursday. According to police, the man was still holding the gun when he went inside the CU, but he didn’t brandish it.

The man, who was not identified by police, entered the branch of New Horizons Credit Union on Airport Boulevard. He was conscious and alert when EMTs transported him to the hospital, according to WALA.

“Employees at the bank called and said that a male, adult male victim, walked into the bank with two self-inflicted gunshot wounds,” Officer Roderick Miles told the news outlet. “At this time, it’s believed that those gunshot wounds are severe and possibly life-threatening.”

Police roped off a house on Hillview Road behind the institution, but Miles said investigators had not confirmed that is where the victim came from.

Neighbors told FOX10 News they heard the gunshots or the emergency sirens that followed but did not see anything.
