COLUMBIA, Mo.—Two Missouri credit unions that are merging to form a billion-dollar-plus operation have announced the new name for the organization—which is actually an old name.
The $565.7-million Missouri CU and the $715.9-million River Region Community CU said the new name and brand for their combined operation will be Multipli Credit Union.

The credit unions noted the name Multipli may sound familiar to some—River Region Credit Union previously merged with a Springfield-area credit union under that name in 2024
The merger legally took effect on April 1, and the name transition will be completed by Nov. 1, 2025, when Missouri Credit Union becomes fully operational under the Multipli brand, the organizations said.
‘Mission Hasn’t Changed’
“We may have a new name, but our mission hasn’t changed,” Rick Nichols, who will be president and CEO of the newly combined credit union, said in a statement. “It’s still about helping our members grow, thrive, and achieve more.”
The combined organization will offer branch access from Columbia to Springfield and serve more than 80,000 members.
