BROOMFIELD, Colo.– Meritrust Credit Union said it has entered into a name, image, likeness (NIL) deal with Kaidon Salter, quarterback with the University of Colorado Buffaloes.
Salter is currently pursuing a graduate degree in sports management.
“Meritrust and Salter are both new to Colorado. Meritrust recently merged with Premier Members Credit Union, and Salter is a transfer student from Virginia,” Meritrust CU said in a statement. (Salter also previously played for Liberty University.) “They share more than just a change of scenery; they share a drive to make a difference. This partnership represents the power of purpose-driven influence and the importance of financial well-being.”
‘Amplifying Commitment’
By teaming up with Salter, Meritrust Credit Union said it is “amplifying its commitment” to financial health, as well as Boulder and the entire Front Range.
“This partnership opens exciting new opportunities to create positive change in the communities we serve,” Co-CEO Carlos Pacheco said in a statement. “Kaidon is not only a great player, but also a true inspiration. We’re proud to support him this season and see the difference we can make together in Colorado.”
‘Means a Lot to Me’
“Partnering with Meritrust means a lot to me,” Salter said. “I’m excited to see what we can accomplish together.”
The nearly $4-billion Meritrust operates 33 branches across Kansas and Colorado.
