Mission FCU Awards $230K to 26 Nonprofits

SAN DIEGO–Mission Fed Credit Union is awarding $230,000 to 26 San Diego nonprofits through the “Community is Everything” fund, part of the organization’s $500,000 commitment.

The commitment includes partnering with organizations to secure financial resources that make a lasting impact in areas such as education, healthcare, the arts, social services and more, the credit union said.

“Our goal at Mission Fed — and through the ‘Community is Everything’ Fund — is to improve the lives of San Diegans across the county,” President and CEO Doug Wright said in a statement. “We’re proud to support a range of organizations that make a meaningful impact every day and contribute to our community’s well-being.”

Mission Fed selected its grantees through an application process.

MiraCosta Foundation and Interfaith Community Services each received $25,000, while an additional 24 organizations were awarded $10,000 or $5,000 grants. Recipients include MANA de San Diego, San Diego Oasis, San Ysidro Health, Just in Time Foster Youth, and more.

The grant builds on Mission Fed’s “Community is Everything” fund, which launched in December 2024 with $225,000 awarded to nine nonprofit organizations across the county. Future giving through the program will support emergency and disaster-related needs.

In addition to the “Community is Everything” Fund, Mission Fed gives more than $1 million each year to the San Diego community.
