PENSACOLA, Fla. –About 100 employees of Navy FCU volunteered their time here to stuff care packages for service men and women.
“Many of us, me included have connections to the military so when we have opportunities to make their lives a little bit easier like sending them care packages and sacks to let them know we care about them we want them home safely we take an opportunity to do that every time,” Kim Aderholdt, VP of Greater Pensacola Operations, said in a statement. “We have remarkable team members, and we usually don’t have enough capacity for all the things they want to do to serve our communities, but it does say a lot about our commitment to service.”
According to the organization, every year the USO does a survey to see what service members want to receive while they’re being deployed. Some of those items are basic necessities while others are things that remind them of home and help them feel more comfortable.
