NCUA Cancels June Board Meeting, Schedules ‘Tentative’ Meeting For July

ALEXANDRIA, Va.– NCUA has cancelled its scheduled June board meeting and announced its next board meeting is “tentatively scheduled for July 24” at 10 a.m. E.T.

No agenda items are currently listed. The June cancellation marks the second scheduled monthly board meeting to be cancelled since the Trump administration fired board members Todd Harper and Tonya Otsuka, leaving it with just one board member, Chairman Kyle Hauptman. Hauptman oversaw a board meeting in May.

“Projected meeting dates listed online are placeholders put on the calendar at the end of the prior year,” the agency said. “As a result, dates of NCUA Board meetings should be considered tentative until the issuance of a formal meeting notice. All future meetings’ agendas and schedules are subject to change at any time.”

The July 24 meeting will be held at the NCUA headquarters in Alexandria, Va.
