Noble CU Partnering With Bulldog Foundation on Scholarships; Sponsoring Tailgates

FRESNO, Calif.–Noble Credit Union said it is partnering with Fresno State University’s Bulldog Foundation to provide full-ride scholarships to two student-athletes this year, while also hosting five member-exclusive tailgates ahead of football games this season.

“These students can focus on their academic and athletic success,” Noble Credit Union spokesperson Mariah Walton said in a statement. “Then, they can go into the workforce and not be saddled with 20 years of student loan debt.”

The scholarships, which cover tuition, housing and other essential college costs, help remove major financial barriers students face while balancing academics and athletics, according to the $1.34-billion Noble CU.

‘More Than an Investment’
Noble said it will continue to fund full-ride scholarships for two students each year for the next three years, for a total of six students.

“We view this also as more of an investment in the community that we serve, knowing that they are likely to stay here,” Walton said. “They’re the future leaders of our community and our Valley, and we want to provide that support for them. It’s one less thing for them to worry about.”

The credit union noted that nearly 80% of Fresno State graduates remain in the region after college, contributing to the local economy.

Financial Literacy Support
Noble CU said it also offers free online financial literacy courses, in-person classes for members, and guest lectures on financial wellness at Fresno State.

Tailgates to Be Held
As part of the Bulldog Foundation partnership, Noble will host five member-exclusive tailgates beginning this weekend.

The home-game tailgates are open to members and their immediate families; no reservations are required. Attendees will receive one meal ticket and two drink tickets per person. A Noble debit or credit card is required for entry, the credit union said.
