ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. –Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union (OFFCU) said it has established the Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union Business Student Scholarship Fund at Molloy University, a new initiative aimed at “supporting the next generation of business leaders with a strong commitment to community and philanthropy.”

“These scholarships reflect Ocean Financial’s deep-rooted mission to serve and uplift our communities,” OFFCU President and CEO Joseph Tedesco said in a statement. “We’re proud to invest in students who not only pursue excellence in business but also understand the important role financial institutions play in giving back.”
According to the credit union, effective during the 2025-26 academic year, the scholarship fund will award two $4,000 scholarships annually, for a total of $8,000 per year, to undergraduate students enrolled in Molloy’s School of Business, with a focus on finance.

To be considered, applicants must submit an essay addressing the topic “The Importance of Community Involvement and Philanthropy from a Financial Institution.”
