ROME, Ga.–Coosa Valley Credit Union is again replacing torn or faded American flags in its communities in a project that runs June 2 – July 4.
“This is the 12th year of this project and to date, Coosa Valley has replaced well over 500 torn or faded American flags in our communities,” President and CEO Andy Harris said in a statement. “This is one of our favorite annual projects, and we are proud to be a part of displaying our flag in the communities we serve.”

The $685-million Coosa Valley is asking people in its communities to be on the lookout for torn or faded American flags on display at businesses, churches or community organizations in Floyd, Polk, Gordon, Catoosa, Cherokee, Paulding, Cobb or Bartow counties in Georgia.

When a flag in need of replacing is spotted, residents are urged to e-mail at [email protected] or contact the credit union via Facebook and it will replace that flag (up to a 6 foot by 10 foot size) free.
Coosa Valley CU said it will also dispose of the old flag properly in conjunction with a local veterans group..
