PAHO/WHO FCU Again Named a Best Credit Union to Work For

WASHINGTON  For the fifth consecutive year, PAHO/WHO Federal Credit Union has been named one of American Banker’s Best Credit Unions to Work For. The credit union ranked 13th overall out of 68 credit unions honored nationwide.

PAHO/WHO FCU was recognized in part for its Annual Volunteer Time program, which provides employees with 40 hours each year to volunteer with organizations of their choice.

“We are once again honored by the recognition and are grateful for the support of our board of directors and the unwavering commitment of our employees to helping others,” said Miguel Boluda Jr., CEO of PAHO/WHO FCU. “We are proud to foster an environment where commitment and dedication to service are valued and exemplified in everything we do.”

American Banker’s program recognizes credit unions that not only show commitment to the communities they serve, but also excel in providing a workplace that supports current employees while attracting new talent.

In total, 68 credit unions were named as Best Credit Unions to Work For. The award process began with Best Companies Group reviewing employers’ benefits and workplace policies and practices, followed by extensive employee surveys. In addition to work environment, benefits and perks, many of this year’s winners were recognized for anticipating and supporting employee needs through leadership, communication and career development.
