NILES, Ohio-With opening day for baseball approaching, two credit unions have entered into naming rights partnerships.
In northern Ohio, 7 17 Credit Union has announced a major partnership with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers by buying the naming rights to the team’s home, which will now be called the 7 17 Credit Union Field at Eastwood. 7 17 had earlier bought the naming rights for the ballpark for the Akron Rubber Ducks, as the CU Daily reported here.

The Scrappers are a founding member of the MLB Draft League and are not a direct minor league affiliate of a specific major league team, but instead operate in this collegiate summer league focused on top draft-eligible prospects. The team is owned by HWS Baseball LLC. 7 17.
7 17 Credit Union was already the official credit union of the Scrappers and offers a credit card, with 7.17 cents from every transaction donated back to the team for youth programming and ballpark improvements.

Visions FCU Rumbling With the Rumble Ponies
Separately, in Binghamton, N.Y., Visions Federal Credit Union said it has extended its partnership with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies for another five years.

The home of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies will continue to be called “Mirabito Stadium” through the 2030 season. The Rumble Ponies are the AA affiliate of Major League Baseball’s New York Mets.
The stadium was named Mirabito Stadium back in 2021 and the new agreement will continue in partnership with Visions Federal Credit Union, which is the title sponsor of the starting gate box office at the stadium, according to the organizations.
‘More Than Signage’
“The naming rights agreement is more than just about putting signage on a building or tickets to games,” said Binghamton Rumble Ponies General Manager Richard Tylicki. “It’s really about enhancing the fan experience at the stadium, a commitment to the community, and then also providing some necessary resources to make sure the baseball team stays in Binghamton.”
Opening night for the 2026 season is April 7.
