Robins Financial Donates $54K to 30 Teachers as Part of GRANTED Program

WARNER ROBINS, Ga.–Robins Financial Credit Union donated more than $54,000 to 30 local teachers through their 4thAnnual GRANTED program.

The credit union said it believes that a bright future starts with a solid education, which is why they created its GRANTED program in 2022 to help alleviate some of the financial burden teachers may face in their effort to educate and engage their students.

Educators who teach grades K-12 at schools located within one of the credit union’s 45-county service areas were eligible to apply. If selected, recipients receive classroom supplies or monetary donations to purchase items from their classroom wish lists.

“With the support of Robins Financial Credit Union, I have been able to take my classroom to the next level,” shared Alicia Johnson, teacher at Baldwin County High School. “An innovative mobile math classroom allows us to break away from the traditional four walls and bring learning to life in a dynamic, engaging setting. This flexibility supports differentiated instruction, meeting students’ diverse learning needs by incorporating movement, collaboration, and real-world connections, ultimately increasing engagement and deepening understanding.”

Since beginning this program, Robins Financial has awarded over $159,000 to local teachers.

“Through our GRANTED program, we are proud to help local teachers bring their creative classroom ideas to life,” said Christina O’Brien, president and CEO of Robins Financial Credit Union. “Their dedication to shaping the minds of future generations inspires us every day, and we’re honored to play a part in their important work.”
