Royal CU Foundation Makes $250K Donation to Community Library

NEW RICHMOND, Wis.- The Royal Credit Union Foundation (RCU Foundation) has announced a $250,000 gift to the New Richmond Community Library. This contribution will support the construction of a new library that is part of a mixed-use development project in New Richmond. 

“The New Richmond Community Library is an exciting, once-in-a-generation project that will benefit New Richmond and the surrounding communities for decades to come. Located near our historic downtown, the new facility will be a destination for learning and gathering for people of all ages,” Noah Wiedenfeld, New Richmond City Administrator, said in a statement. “We greatly appreciate the support from the RCU Community Foundation and their continued commitment to creating a positive impact in the New Richmond community” 

“The RCU Foundation recognizes that libraries play a vital part of the community, enhancing the quality of life for all,” John Sackett, RCU Foundation president, said in a statement. “We are proud to support this project that will ensure that the New Richmond Community Library will continue to foster lifelong learning and provide resources that enrich the lives of all those in the community.” 

Construction of the new library began in 2024, and construction is scheduled to be completed in December of 2025. The new library will open in early 2026.
