CLARKSBURG, W.Va.– Home Federal Credit Union has been hosting a Valentine’s Day drive to benefit local nursing homes in north-central West Virginia.
The credit union has been collecting a variety of items such as handmade cards, food items, and other items.
“Part of our mission is to be in the community, to give back to the community, to be involved in the community, so for us this is just an everyday thing,” HFCU’s Kim Basnett told 12 News.
Deliveries to 3 Nursing Homes
Donations are planned to be delivered to three nursing homes in the area, including the VA. She added that recognizing the seniors and giving them gifts has the potential to make their days.
“We just want to put a bright spot in their days,” Basnett said.
