St. Paul FCU Names New President and CEO

ST. PAUL, Minn.–St. Paul FCU has named a new president and CEO.

The $257.2-million -St. Paul Federal has selected Chris Petersen to lead the organization. Petersen has been with the credit union for more than 26 years, most recently serving as CFO and interim CEO.

Petersen began with the credit union as a file clerk and has worked in “nearly every corner of the credit union’s operation since,” the credit union said, including in ACH, electronic services, as CIO, bookkeeper and accountant

‘Honored to Introduce Myself’

“I’m honored to introduce myself as the new chief executive officer of St. Paul Federal Credit Union,” said Petersen in a statement. “My journey has been grounded in one clear mission: serving you, our members. I am incredibly excited about what’s ahead. Over the next six to nine months, we’ll be rolling out some major improvements.”

St. Paul FCU said the leadership transition comes as it enters a new phase of growth with expanded business account services, a revamped online and mobile banking platform as well as a new partnership allowing extended share insurance coverage access.
