To Help Fight Hunger, Sabasticook Valley FCU Takes a Shot at Hosting Paintball Tournament

GUILFORD, Maine–Sebasticook Valley FCU will host a paintball tournament on May 31 at Flying Dutchman Paintball.

All proceeds benefit the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger, the statewide initiative championed by Maine’s credit unions, which has contributed more than $14.9 million since 1990 — over $1.3 million in 2024 alone — to food banks, school backpack programs, meal sites and other organizations.

The event is open to the public.

“The fun of paintball while raising money for a worthwhile cause of helping end hunger in Maine is a rewarding way to spend your Saturday,” SVFCU President Jim Lemieux said in a statement. “We’re excited to rally teammates, sponsors and spectators for a day that will put nutritious food on tables across our region.”

How to Register

Teams of four can register for $400, and businesses or individuals may choose from three sponsorship levels: Target Sponsor ($100), Basecamp Sponsor ($300) or Corporate Sponsor ($500). Included with the registration are players’ field fee, all rental equipment, protective neck covering, 100 paintballs (per player) and dinner. Participants must be 18 or older.
