Want to Serve on the Board of National CU Foundation? Here’s Your Chance

MADISON, Wis.– The National Credit Union Foundation is now accepting nominations for four open seats on its volunteer board of directors.

“This is a unique opportunity for leaders across the credit union system to help guide the strategic direction of the Foundation and advance its mission to improve financial well-being with and through credit unions,” the NCUF said.

It added that board members play a critical role, contributing their expertise to champion fundraising efforts, strengthen governance and ensure alignment with the evolving needs of credit unions and their communities.

The Open Seats
The Foundation said the following four seats are open for election:
• Seat 4 – Credit Union Executive or Director: Currently held by Creighton Blackwell of Coastal Credit Union, who is seeking re-election as an incumbent. Qualifications: Must be and remain an executive officer or director of a credit union.
• Seat 7 – Credit Union Executive or Director: Currently held by John Sackett of Royal Credit Union, who is seeking re-election as an incumbent. Qualifications: Must be and remain an executive officer or director of a credit union.
• Seat 10 – Credit Union Executive or Director: Currently held by Jenny Vipperman of ORNL Federal Credit Union, who is seeking re-election as an incumbent. Qualifications: Must be and remain an executive officer or director of a credit union.
• Seat 16 – Credit Union Executive or Director, System Affiliate, or At-Large: Qualifications: Must be and remain (i) an executive officer or director of a credit union, or (ii) a director or executive officer of an organization that is national in scope and supports credit unions, or (iii) a representative of an organization outside of the credit union system that has demonstrated a commitment to the Foundation.
