Wisconsin CU Foundation Receives Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation has received the Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency (formerly GuideStar).

The Platinum Seal of Transparency is the highest level of recognition awarded by Candid and reflects the recipient organization’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and positive outcomes, the foundation noted.
Since 2007, the foundation has invested over $2 million to promote credit union development, help educate credit union staff and volunteers, support programming to enhance financial literacy, and assist the credit union system in times of need.
“We are honored to be named among other top-tier nonprofits,” Chair Lisa Palma said in a statement. “We value that trust, and it further invigorates the work we do for Wisconsin’s credit unions and their communities.”

Candid is a nationally recognized information service that provides the most comprehensive data on 1.9 million non-profit organizations in the United States. In 2025, fewer than one percent of U.S.-based nonprofits achieved the Platinum Seal, making this recognition a significant honor.
