ST. LOUIS–Alltru Credit Union said it has launched an emergency financial relief program for members affected by the ongoing strike by International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers District 837, whose members work at Boeing’s facility in Berkeley, Mo.
Alltru CU said its support includes a new Boeing Strike Loan that carries a low rate and no fee on balances of up to $6,000 for current members who are District 837 union workers with direct deposit.

Terms range from one to 12 months.
“Our credit union was established in 1968 by the visionary members of the International Association of Machinists District 837,” said CEO Michelle Rosner in a statement. “During this challenging period, we are committed to supporting our members by providing the Boeing Strike Loan to help cover essential expenses until they are able to return to work.”
Additional Assistance
Beyond the Boeing Strike Loan, Alltru Credit Union, which has a CDFI designation, said it also offers debt consolidation, refinancing options, financial counseling, and their loan “Skip-A-Pay” program to members.
“We’ve walked alongside this community for decades and have weathered tough moments together,” VP Brand and Product Strategy Laura Woods said in a statement. “While we hope for a swift resolution to the strike, our job is to show up for our members right now.”
