WOCCU to Host Webinar Today on Governance Practices

MADISON, Wis.–The World Council’s International Advocacy team today will continue a conversation they had on good governance that began at the 2025 World Credit Union Conference in Stockholm, Sweden during a webinar.

The webinar is scheduled for 10 a.m. E.T. 

“Learn about the challenges and solutions for governance practices specific to the financial cooperative model,” WOCCU said. “The discussion will be focused on the methods and tactics credit unions, especially small and mid-size, use to enhance their governance practices.”

According to WOCCU, a panel of experts will also discuss the regulatory provisions and evolution in each of their systems related to governance.    
The Takeaways

World Council said the takeaways will include:

  • Understand the common governance challenges small and mid-size credit unions are facing and how they are working to strengthen their governance systems. 
  • Take back information on important regulatory provisions that impact the governance strength of your credit union.  
  • Understand the governance provisions in other systems and how they are advocating for change.
