KETTERING, Ohio–Day Air Credit Union sponsored the annual College Prep Night event at Day Air Ballpark in downtown Dayton. This year’s event drew more than 2,000 students and family members and featured a record 98 colleges and universities from across the country.
“Now in its fifth year, College Prep Night has grown into one of the Miami Valley’s largest and most impactful college readiness events,” the credit union said. “The evening provided high school students and their families with the unique opportunity to connect directly with representatives from nearly 100 higher education institutions, ask questions, and gather valuable insights about admissions, scholarships, and academic offerings, all in one place.”

“Helping students and families navigate the college journey is one of the most meaningful ways we can support the future of our community,” VP-Marketing and Business Development Joe Eckley said in a statement. “We’re proud to host this event each year and to continue growing its reach and impact.”
In addition to meeting with colleges, attendees had the opportunity to explore tools and resources designed to ease the financial planning process for higher education. Day Air said it showcased its Student Loan Marketplace, a free online tool that empowers students and families to compare up to 15 private loan options in under two minutes offering a simple, side-by-side look at rates and terms to make smart financial decisions.
Day Air also continued its tradition of awarding scholarships to two students who attended the event, reaffirming its commitment to helping students invest in their education.
“College Prep Night is part of Day Air’s broader mission to provide a better banking experience that puts people first. Through financial education, community partnerships, and innovative tools like the Student Loan Marketplace, Day Air remains dedicated to supporting lifelong financial well-being,” the credit union said.
