SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference said it has extended a deal it has with Illinois-based Credit Union 1 as the title partner of the West Coast Conference Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship.
Credit Union 1 became the official banking partner of the West Coast Conference during the 2023-24 academic year, and the extension of the partnership is for four years, through the 2030 men’s and women’s basketball championship.

‘Incredible Engagement’
“Credit Union 1 is proud to extend our partnership with the West Coast Conference and continue being a champion for the incredible student-athletes across the conference,” Credit Union President and CEO Todd Gunderson said in a statement. “CU1 has seen incredible engagement and excitement from student-athletes with our financial literacy programs, and we look forward to expanding that impact over the next four years. Together, we are helping students build a solid financial foundation for the future and strengthening the West Coast Conference community.”
As the conference’s official banking partner, Credit Union 1 said it has had a year-round presence through West Coast Conference marketing platforms and supported the initiatives that included student-athlete financial wellness programs and an information seminar during the West Coast Conference’s student-athlete leadership summit.
Visible on ESPN Broadcasts
The 2026 Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship will take place at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas March 5-10. Each year during the partnership, Credit Union 1 is showcased as part of on-court and in-arena signage, along with a highly visible presence on national broadcasts, as all 22 games of the 2026 championship will air on either ESPN linear channels or ESPN+, the organizations said.
