EL PASO, Texas–Raiz Federal Credit Union will host a hands-on couponing today at La Nube STEAM Discovery Center as part of its participation in the national series, Opportunity Knock$.
According to the $1-billion credit union, the initiative demonstrates its ongoing commitment to expanding access, removing barriers, and creating opportunities rooted in education and inclusion.
Led by a local Raiz member known for sharing practical savings strategies, the class offers real-life tips that families can use to make their money go further, the credit union said.
“What started as a personal effort to stretch her own budget has evolved into a community resource, empowering others to save effectively,” the CU stated. “With Raiz’s support, Jovanna will share her knowledge in an in-person session designed to be approachable, useful, and immediately applicable.”
What Will be Learned
During the class, Raiz said attendees will learn practical couponing strategies, including how to understand store policies, stack coupons effectively, and maximize savings on groceries and everyday essentials.
While caregivers participate in the class, children will have the chance to explore some of La Nube’s hands-on exhibits in a space designed for curiosity, creativity, and discovery, Raiz added.
