League of Credit Unions Launches Search for CEO; Beeler to Remain as President

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates announces said it has launched a national search for its next CEO. The association told The CU Daily Samantha A.M. Beeler will remain its president.

“I remain committed to serving the organization as The League president and advocating for our amazing members and team. I look forward to the next chapter of the enterprise and our future success,” Beeler said in a statement.

According to the league, the decision to hire a CEO follows a “series of successful governance enhancements implemented over the past two years that have strengthened leadership alignment, member feedback, and strategic focus. Building on this strong foundation in place, the board is focused on positioning the organization for long-term impact.”

‘Commitment to Success’

“Launching a national CEO search reflects the Board’s commitment to long-term success,” Chair Richard “Rick” J. Skaggs said in a statement. “This process is designed to identify leadership who can build on current success and provide enterprise-wide strategic direction. Reestablishing this leadership role underscores the Board’s focus on strengthening the organization’s future.”

The search is being handled by Sterling|Martin.

The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates represents 373 credit unions across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia, and oversees a business unit, LEVERAGE.
