Fire Police City County Credit Union Unveils New Name, Branding

FORT WAYNE, Ind.–Fire Police City County Credit Union is changing its name and branding. Effective in April, the $203-million CU will become Summit Choice Credit Union.

It said members will start to notice new signage and aesthetic changes at each branch throughout the month.

The credit union was originally formed in 1933 for the families of local firefighters. Today, it serves employees of more than 350 local businesses around greater Fort Wayne.

“Adopting the name Summit Choice Credit Union represents a significant milestone in the evolution of our organization,” President and CEO Diane Scherer said in a statement.  “This change is a natural progression of our efforts to expand our reach and better align our identity with the diverse membership we serve today. While we remain deeply proud of our history, this new name more accurately reflects who we are and who we serve.”
