BONHAM, Texas–Credit Union of Texas has signed on to sponsor National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day at the City of Bonham Animal Shelter on April 30. The event “aims to find furrever homes for local animals while providing a fun, community-focused experience for residents,” organizers said.
“In a generous show of support for our furry friends, CUTX will cover 100% of the adoption fees for every animal adopted during the event,” the shelter said in a statement. “To celebrate the day, CUTX is bringing its community food truck to the shelter. Lunch will be provided to the public free of charge from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.”
Additionally, the shelter said every successful adoption will come with a “Welcome Home” starter kit. CUTX will provide $50 gift cards to Fix ‘N Feed and custom adoption goody bags for each pet heading to their new home, helping owners get off to a great start with their
new companions.”
