Century FCU Named Official CU of MLB’s Cleveland Guardians

CLEVELAND — Century Federal Credit Union has been named the official credit union of another professional sports franchise, this time Major League Baseball’s Cleveland Guardians.

The $469-million Century FCU, which also has partnerships with the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers and the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League, said it has entered into a new multi-year partnership with the baseball team. Terms of the deal were not announced.

“As a credit union founded and grown right here in Cleveland, this partnership means a great deal to all of us at Century Federal,” President and CEO Dave Wilde said in a statement. “Being named the Official Credit Union of the Cleveland Guardians is more than a sponsorship—it’s a shared commitment to supporting the people and neighborhoods that make Cleveland home.”

What Partnership Will Include

According to Century FCU, the partnership will include:

  • Financial literacy programs, workshops and educational resources for area residents
  • Special game-day experiences, ticket opportunities and promotions for credit union members
  • Branding and member engagement initiatives at Progressive Field

Century Federal said the agreement is intended to expand its reach and deepen its impact in the community through financial wellness initiatives and member engagement tied to the Guardians organization.

The credit union also said it plans to grow its physical presence, with five additional branches scheduled to open in 2026. CFCU has approximately 25,000 members.
