Two Well-Known Voices in the Pacific Northwest Pitch WSECU’s Cash-Back Checking Account

SEATTLE–Two iconic voices known to sports fans across the Pacific Northwest are being featured in a new TV ad from Washington State Employees Credit Union (WSECU).

Rick Rizzs, the longtime radio voice of the Seattle Mariners, and Steve Raible, the longtime radio voice of the Seattle Seahawks, have teamed up for the first time ever in an ad campaign for the $5.4-billion WSECU).

You can watch one of their commercials in the video at the top of this post.

Rizzs is currently in his 41st and final year calling games for the Mariners Radio Network, while Raible just called the Seahawks’ second Super Bowl-winning season in his 44th year as a member of the Seahawks Radio Network broadcast team. Raible, who was a wide receiver on the original 1976 Seahawks expansion team and had a six-year NFL career with Seattle, then moved to the broadcast booth as a color analyst in 1982 and eventually took over play-by-play duties in 2004.

The commercial can be viewed here.

In the spot, the duo first mistakes the pronunciation of “WSECU” as sounding like someone sneezed, and uses a number of sports analogies to pitch the credit union’s cash-back checking account, calling it a “winning play every time.”
