‘Yep, Another Credit Union,’ Says Meridian Trust FCU in Announcing New Branch

CHEYENNE, Wyo. —In conjunction with the groundbreaking at a new branch,  Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union has launched a marketing campaign called “Yep, another credit union,” which it described as a lighthearted reference to local discussions about new commercial development in the area.

According to CAO Adele Garner, the campaign is intended to engage residents while highlighting the credit union’s ties to the community.

“This community is ours, and so we know that on Facebook, our community members have a lot of opinions about new buildings and new things coming in, and so we really wanted to kind of lean in and make it playful,” Garner said in a statement.

The campaign includes giveaways benefiting local businesses, including tire stores, coffee shops and car washes. Residents can enter through links posted on Meridian Trust’s social media channels. The first promotion offers a $500 tire store gift card, with a winner scheduled to be selected Aug. 14 through a random drawing.

About the Branch

The campaign comes as the credit union broke ground on a new Cheyenne branch that is expected to open in 2027, replacing the credit union’s current east-side location and introducing new technology aimed at enhancing member service.

The new branch will be built at the northeast corner of Pershing Boulevard and Ridge Road. It will replace Meridian Trust’s existing east branch at 4349 E. Lincolnway. The credit union will continue to operate its other Cheyenne locations at 2223 Warren Ave. downtown and 1602 Prairie Ave. in north Cheyenne.

Credit union officials said the new facility will combine traditional in-person service with upgraded technology designed to streamline both drive-thru and in-branch transactions.

“It’ll have some streamlined technology that marries the traditional in-branch experience with a more innovative experience, so enhanced technology, more robust personalized offers,” Garner said. “The same great team that is over at the east branch will be over here, and so really just marrying innovation with the historical service that we offer.”
