COLUMBUS, Ohio –Ohio’s credit unions have sent letters to both of Ohio’s major gubernatorial candidates sharing what the Ohio league said is an “Affordability Agenda” to help lower costs and put more money in the pockets of Ohioans “at a time when too many families are struggling to make ends meet.”
The Ohio credit unions that signed the letter represent the Advocacy Action Committee of the Ohio Credit Union League and credit union members from all corners of the state, the league said.
In the letters, Ohio credit unions offered to work directly with the future Governor of Ohio and their Administration to make life more affordable for Ohioans and their families.
“As not-for-profit, member-owned financial institutions, Ohio credit unions are uniquely positioned to help make life more affordable for Ohioans and help them keep more of their hard-earned money in their own pockets. And right now, as you know well, too many Ohioans are struggling to make ends meet,”the letters tate in part.
