TULLAHOMA, Tenn., – Ascend Federal Credit Union announced it has awarded $25,000 in individual academic scholarships to 10 members and an additional $18,500 in scholarship funding to Fisk University and Middle Tennessee State University. This marks the 24th consecutive year that the credit union has provided funds to support higher education initiatives.

The annual scholarship program reflects Ascend’s ongoing commitment to investing in the success of its members and community by helping students pursue their educational goals and prepare for future careers. Since launching its member scholarship program in 2003, Ascend has awarded over $300,000 in individual scholarships.

To qualify for the individual scholarship, applicants must be members of Ascend Federal Credit Union and plan to enroll or prove enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited college, university, technical or trade school in pursuit of an associate, bachelors, masters, or other advanced-degree program in the next academic year.
