Filene in New Partnership With Money 20/20 to Provide Access to ‘Broader Fintech Ecosystem’

MADISON, Wis.—Filene has announced a strategic partnership with Money20/20 aimed at giving credit union leaders greater access to the broader financial technology ecosystem while bringing the credit union perspective into discussions shaping the future of financial services.

According to Filene, the collaboration will begin this fall at the Money20/20 conference in Las Vegas in October with the introduction of a new Credit Union Pass and programming created specifically for credit union executives. Filene said its partnership will also extend to its annual big.bright.minds. conference, scheduled for Dec. 1-3 in New Orleans.

Money20/20 Chief Strategy and Growth Officer Scarlett Sieber said the new Credit Union Pass is intended to provide credit union executives with greater access to the conference and its networking opportunities.

‘Directly Into the Rooms’

“By partnering with Filene, we’re bringing their research and their members directly into the rooms where the biggest decisions are being made,” Sieber said in a statement. “The Credit Union Meetup and our closed-door deep dive represent something entirely new for Money20/20: purpose-built programming designed exclusively for credit union executives.”

Filene said the partnership combines Money20/20’s insights into emerging technologies, fintech partnerships and market trends with Filene’s research capabilities, enabling credit union leaders to better understand and respond to changes across the financial services industry.

Where Programming Will Focus

The organizations said programming at big.bright.minds. will focus on emerging issues affecting financial institutions, including:

  • Payments innovation.
  • Agentic artificial intelligence.
  • Stablecoins.
  • Real-time payment rails.

Christie Kimbell, executive vice president of the Filene Research Institute, said the partnership will help connect credit union leaders with new ideas and technologies shaping the industry.

“Our partnership with Money20/20 expands that conversation, giving credit union leaders direct access to the ideas, innovators, and trends shaping the broader financial services industry,” Kimbell said in a statement.

Filene said registration for big.bright.minds. 2026 is now open, with complimentary registration available to Innovator-level members as a membership benefit. Thinker-level members and non-members may contact the organization for attendance options.
