NASCUS Announces New Board, Council Members: Here’s Who They Are

PHILADELPHIA– The National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) announced the results of its 2026 elections and welcomed new officers and directors to the NASCUS Regulator Board and Credit Union Advisory Council during the association’s Annual Meeting at the 2026 State System Summit.

2026 NASCUS Elections

As the CU Daily reported earlier, NASCUS held its annual elections in June for the Regulator Board and Credit Union Advisory Council.

Members of the NASCUS Regulator Board are elected by NASCUS regulator members, representing state credit union regulatory agencies across the nation and Puerto Rico. Three seats were up for election this year:

  • Katie Averill, Iowa Department of Insurance and Financial Services, Division of Credit Unions, was reelected.
  • Aeton de Long-Hersh, Minnesota Department of Commerce, Financial Institutions Division, was newly elected.
  • Corey Krebs, North Dakota Department of Financial Institutions, was reelected.

Amy Hunter, Washington Department of Financial Institutions, Division of Credit Unions, was elected Chair of the Regulator Board. “I appreciate the confidence of my fellow Board members and look forward to serving as Chair,” said Hunter. “NASCUS gives state regulators an important forum to share perspectives, learn from one another, and work alongside credit unions on issues affecting the state system. I am pleased to continue that work with this leadership team.”

About the Advisory Council

Members of the NASCUS Credit Union Advisory Council are elected by credit union representatives from across the country. The Council advises the Regulator Board on issues important to credit unions and the state-chartered system.

Two seats on the Advisory Council were up for election this year:

  • Kelly Botti, Trumark Credit Union in Pennsylvania, was newly elected.
  • Jeff Dahlstrom, Southeast Financial Credit Union in Tennessee, was reelected.

Amy Nelson, CEO of Point West Credit Union in Oregon, was elected Chair of the Credit Union Advisory Council.

“The Advisory Council brings the credit union perspective directly into NASCUS leadership discussions, and I value the opportunity to help strengthen that connection,” said Nelson in a statement. “I look forward to working with my fellow Council members and the Regulator Board to build on the collaboration that makes NASCUS and the state system stronger.”
