The CU Daily Hits Another Milestone in Content for Readers, as Readership Hits Another New High

PIERRE, S.D.–The CU Daily not only saw yet another month of record readership during July, but it has now published more than 7,500 pieces of the very latest editorial content and other information since its launch on March 1, 2025.

That is more than 100 news items per week on average during the 75 weeks since the CU Daily made its debut and quickly rose to being the number-one news publication serving the credit union community.

In addition, Google Analytics reports The CU Daily.com experienced a strong surge in traffic, seeing 529,000 interactions with readers in the last 30 days.

“It’s a cliché, yet also unavoidable, but we have to say the tremendous success of the CU Daily is completely due to support from the credit union leaders who are now readers, and from solutions providers who have made it possible to provide the CU Daily free of charge, unlike some other publications that charge nearly $1,000 a year for a subscription and that publish a fraction of this volume of news,” said Frank J. Diekmann, cooperator-in-chief with the CU Daily.

New Offerings

The CU Daily’s growth and dedication to serving its readers continues, with several new offerings recently announced, including:

  • A partnership with Mitchell Stankovic & Associates to produce the “AI Imperative,” a seven-part series of 30-minute webinars on all aspects of AI. The first two webinars in that series have now been released.
  • The new “Market Review” newsletter exclusively for vendors and solutions-providers that offers an overview of the Top 10 stories of the week, 5 Trends to Watch, and a look at upcoming meetings and events. The newsletter is free. To sign up, contact Roy MacKinnon at [email protected].
  • The CU Daily also continues to publish the CU Board Brief, a monthly newsletter for credit union board members that provides an overview of the topline issues reported each month. The CU Board Brief was produced in conjunction with attendees at the annual Volunteer Leadership Institute.

Even More is Planned

“As we had into the fourth quarter of 2026 and then into 2027, the CU Daily has even more planned as our growth continues,” Diekmann added. “The key to our success has been the input from readers and the broader credit union community, and we continue to welcome and encourage their feedback.”
