Veridian CU Launches New Financial Empowerment Program ‘Money Moves’

WATERLOO, Iowa — Veridian Credit Union has launched a financial empowerment program that it said combines education, personalized coaching and financial incentives to help members build savings, improve their credit and reduce debt.

The new Money Moves program provides participants with one-on-one guidance and tools to develop financial plans based on their individual circumstances and long-term goals, according to the $9.15-billion Veridian.

“Financial success should be within reach for everyone,” Ana Hernandez Eveland, Veridian’s financial empowerment strategist, said in a statement. “Money Moves is about meeting people where they are and giving them the guidance, resources and encouragement they need to move forward with confidence.”

Eveland said the program is designed to assist members whether they are focused on increasing savings, improving their credit or paying down debt.

Up to $250 in Incentives

Participants who successfully complete Money Moves may qualify for a $250 matching incentive. The money can be used toward a secured credit card, starter certificate of deposit or debt repayment, Veridian said.

Money Moves is offered at no cost, although advance registration is required.

Individual sessions are scheduled to begin in mid-September in Cedar Rapids and Waterloo, Iowa, and Omaha, Nebraska. Sessions will begin Oct. 1 in Des Moines, Iowa.
