Dupaco Community CU Awards 20 Scholarships

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Twenty high school seniors who will pursue post-secondary education beginning this fall are one step closer to achieving their educational goals, thanks to Dupaco Foundation’s renewable college scholarship program.

The foundation awarded $60,000 in renewable scholarships:

  • Ten $2,000 scholarships for high school seniors who will attend community colleges/trade schools. These scholarships will be distributed in annual increments of $1,000 over two years.
  • Ten $4,000 scholarships for high school seniors who will attend four-year colleges/universities. These scholarships will be distributed in annual increments of $1,000 over four years.

Awards were based on financial need and an original essay describing a significant personal success.

The Dupaco Foundation recognizes that education and upskilling are paths to a sustainable financial future. By providing financial aid to college-bound students, the scholarship program helps them realize their potential, according to Dupaco Foundation board member Bob Hoefer.

“We believe in the transformative power of education, and these scholarships are one way we can invest in the bright futures of these deserving students by helping make their dream of attending college a reality,” Hoefer said in a statement.
