MANCHESTER, N.H. — America’s Credit Union Museum has announced the newest honorees added to its ongoing “Unsung Heroes” installation, a national recognition program celebrating individuals whose quiet leadership, service, and vision strengthened the credit union movement.
These stories now appear both within the physical exhibit and in the Museum’s digital collection, expanding access for credit union professionals, historians, and members nationwide, the Museum said.
The Honorees
The 2026 honorees include:
- Crissy Cheney — Tribute by SchoolsFirst Credit Union and Mitchell Stankovic & Associates
- Guy Chapdelaine — Tribute by St. Mary’s Bank
- Judy Ensweiler — Tribute by Cornerstone League and Mitchell Stankovic & Associates
- Teri Kuehn — Tribute by ORSA Credit Union
- Edward Murphy (in memoriam) — Tribute by Gordon Simmons
- John Normandeau — Tribute by ORSA Credit Union
- Merry Pateuk — Tribute by America’s Credit Union Museum
- Carmella Yannizze — Tribute by Metro Credit Union
These honorees join a growing national archive of leaders whose contributions—often made quietly, humbly, and without expectation of recognition—helped shape the cooperative principles that define the credit union movement today.
