TAMPA, Fla. — The Credit Union Data Exchange said it is expanding a portfolio of data products designed to help credit unions and other organizations build artificial intelligence tools using standardized, privacy-protected information drawn from participating institutions.
CUDX calls the approach “Cooperative Intelligence,” describing it as a way to combine credit union data into a broader foundation for analytics and financial services development than an individual institution could create independently.

The products are intended for credit unions, financial technology companies, researchers, solution providers and other organizations developing analytics, machine-learning models, AI agents and financial services applications, according to CUDX’s Sept. 29 announcement.
Turning Fragmented Data Into Products
Noting that credit union data originates in different core processing systems and technology environments, CUDX said it converts that fragmented information into curated products tailored to specific financial services uses.
The organization describes its products as “AI-ready,” meaning they are standardized, structured, supplied with context, governed and protected by privacy controls so they can serve as inputs for analytics and AI applications.
The Portfolio
Its portfolio includes:
- US Credit Union Account Intelligence — 360° View of Accounts: Anonymized and aggregated information about lending and deposit portfolios.
- US Credit Union Account Trends: Trends across loan and deposit portfolios.
- US Credit Union Transaction Trends: Trends in transactions made by credit union members.
- US Credit Union Consumer Behavior and Spending: Anonymized and aggregated behavioral information, including RFM scores and segments.
- US Credit Union Member Out-of-State Transaction Behavior: Geographic transaction and spending patterns.
- US Credit Union Member Attrition & Churn Risk: Data intended to support member retention and assess the risk of members leaving.
- US Credit Union Member Acquisition & Onboarding: Information focused on acquiring members and their early relationships with credit unions.
- US Credit Union Member Financial Stress & Risk Monitoring: Data supporting financial wellness and risk monitoring.
- US Credit Union Digital Engagement with Engagement Scores: Information about members’ digital engagement patterns.
Expanding Through Participation
CUDX said its model depends on increasing participation to broaden the underlying data, strengthen its products and support additional research, models and applications.
As the breadth and diversity of participating institutions’ data grow, the organization said it can develop richer and more representative products for industry use.
“Credit unions have always understood the power of cooperation. We believe the next evolution of that principle is Cooperative Intelligence,” Ganesh Morla, CUDX’s executive director, said in a statement. “CUDX is transforming the collective strength of credit union data into trusted, AI-ready data products that can provide the foundation for the next generation of intelligence and innovation across the credit union ecosystem.”
Data Foundation for AI
CUDX said its approach addresses the preparation work otherwise required of individual credit unions, fintech companies, researchers and solution providers seeking to use fragmented industry data.
Although AI models and agents are becoming more accessible, their effectiveness depends heavily on the quality, relevance and context of the information used to support them, the organization said. Its goal is to supply prepared data products on which other organizations can build intelligence and applications.
CUDX said it incorporates security, governance, aggregation and de-identification capabilities designed to protect sensitive member information while allowing combined data to support broader industry uses.
Building the Foundation
“The AI era will not be defined by models alone,” Morla said. “As AI becomes more accessible, trusted and differentiated data becomes increasingly valuable. CUDX is building that AI-ready data foundation for the credit union ecosystem.”
The organization said it will continue expanding its product portfolio and developing the technology, governance, partnerships and marketplace capabilities needed to support the initiative.
