In Wake of Member Survey, Red Rocks CU Launches New Digital Banking Platform

LITTLETON, Colo. — Red Rocks Credit Union has launched a digital banking platform that combines payments and transfers with expanded security, card controls and Spanish-language features.

The launch follows a July 2026 internal survey in which 41% of respondents selected enhanced online payments and transfers as a desired technology improvement. The same share selected fraud and security alerts, making the two features the most requested, the $344-million Red Rocks said.

“We didn’t start with technology. We started with what our members told us was getting in their way,” said Darius Wise, president and CEO. “The result is a digital experience that makes the things people do every day easier and more secure, while giving members more control over how they manage their money. Technology should remove friction, not create more of it.”

About the Platform

The platform brings payments, transfers and bill pay together and allows members to move money between financial institutions without trial deposits or waiting periods, according to the credit union. It also includes Zelle, which members can use to send and receive money with people they know and trust, including those who bank elsewhere.

Red Rocks said the platform provides enhanced login protections and two-factor authentication, along with customizable real-time notifications about balances and account activity through members’ preferred communication channels.

Members can access their credit scores and alerts for free, monitor spending, set financial goals and link accounts held at other financial institutions. They also can turn cards on or off, report them lost or stolen, request replacements, set travel notices and file disputes through digital banking.

Available in Spanish

Account navigation, dashboards and other functions are available in Spanish, using translations developed in-house by Spanish-speaking employees, the credit union said.

Red Rocks said it tested the platform with employees before expanding the pilot to employees’ families. The phased process allowed the credit union to gather feedback and make refinements before launch.

“The feedback throughout our pilot was overwhelmingly positive,” said Sierra Montegna, director of operations. “Members of our test group appreciated how intuitive the new experience was and how much easier it made everyday banking tasks. We also used their feedback to make refinements before launch, so we could deliver a platform that truly reflects what our members need.”

The launch builds on a technology partnership Red Rocks announced with Alkami in September 2025. The agreement added Alkami’s digital banking and data and marketing solutions to Red Rocks’ existing onboarding and account opening solution, according to the organization.
