MADISON, Wis.–The National Credit Union Foundation has named Catie McDonald as its new chief impact officer, effective at the end of June.
“McDonald brings with her a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to advancing the credit union mission,” the Foundation said.

McDonald has previously held leadership positions at TruStage and CUNA (now America’s Credit Unions).
“During her time at CUNA, she played a key role in spearheading the organization’s national strategy to advance financial well-being for all – a movement that continues to shape the credit union industry’s focus today,” the foundation stated.
McDonald currently serves as a senior advisor at FarWell Advisory Services, where she has been partnering with credit unions to develop and implement strategic plans that drive growth, resilience, and community impact.
“I’ve been an admirer and fan of the Foundation for years, so the opportunity to join the team is a true honor and privilege for me,” said McDonald. “The Foundation is uniquely positioned to collaborate with credit unions to impact their communities in ways that make a difference in their members’ financial lives and demonstrate the credit union difference. I cannot wait to partner and collaborate with credit union leaders and changemakers to continue to grow the impact of the Foundation.”
“Catie’s deep understanding of the credit union system and her unwavering commitment to people-centered impact surrounding financial well-being make her the perfect choice to lead this work. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the Foundation and confident she’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our next chapter,” Lauren Culp, executive director of the National Credit Union Foundation, said in a statement. “The creation of the Chief Impact Officer position reflects The Foundation’s continued commitment to scale our efforts, drive deeper impact, and help credit unions make even more impact. With Catie’s leadership, we’re poised to take our mission even further,” added Culp.
