NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.–SRP Federal Credit Union has presented the Aiken County Board of Education with a symbolic check for more than $290,000 to reflect the last year’s proceeds from its high school affinity debit card program.
The debit cards are co-branded with each high school’s logo. Every time a purchase is made with the card, the $1.96-billion SRPFCU makes a donation to that school.
More than $1 million has been donated to the schools since the program began in 2018, Grace Helms, area vice president for marketing, communications and community development, told the Post & Courier.
“It’s a great way to show your support if you are alumni, if you have students there, if you just live in the community and want show your support for one of the schools,” Helms told the publication.
