Greater Iowa CU Wins Arc Award From MeridianLink

AMES, Iowa – Greater Iowa Credit Union has been named a recipient of the 2025 MeridianLink Arc Award, presented at the annual MeridianLink LIVE! event in Orlando.

The prestigious award recognizes financial institutions that have demonstrated exceptional innovation, impact, and leadership in using technology to improve member experiences and strengthen communities.

Selected from nearly 70 nominations nationwide, Greater Iowa Credit Union was honored for transforming its lending operations through the strategic use of MeridianLink DecisionLender and Admin Pro. The credit union achieved a 250% increase in auto-decision rates, significantly improving loan processing speed and accuracy, the company said, adding, “This transformation allowed for more efficient, data-driven lending while preserving the human touch that defines Greater Iowa’s member-first philosophy.

“A standout element of Greater Iowa’s award-winning strategy was the development of an innovative lending program tailored for university employees, designed to promote financial literacy and expand access to responsible credit,” the statement continued. “This initiative reflects the credit union’s commitment to serving its diverse membership and supporting educational communities across Iowa.”

“This recognition from MeridianLink is an incredible honor for our entire team,” said Nate Scott, chief lending officer at Greater Iowa Credit Union. “We’ve worked hard to modernize our lending processes while staying true to our mission of building relationships and making a real difference in our members’ lives. This award is a reflection of that effort.”

Other 2025 honorees include Bangor Savings Bank, Empower Federal Credit Union, Keesler Federal Credit Union, and more.
