BOSTON — Hanscom Federal Credit Union has announced a new partnership with Blue Star Families’ New England chapter, expanding its membership field to include more military-connected individuals.
Approved by both the National Credit Union Administration and Hanscom’s board of directors, the partnership gives more members of the military community access to Hanscom’s products, services and financial coaching.
“This partnership with Blue Star Families strengthens our bond with the military community and reinforces our commitment to being a trusted financial partner,” said Peter Rice, Hanscom president and CEO. “It’s an honor to extend membership to individuals who support our nation through service and sacrifice.”
In celebration of Blue Star Welcome Week, Hanscom’s charitable foundation donated $25,000 to support the annual event, which helps 600,000 military families with moves and transitions.
Blue Star Families of New England provides career support, financial education, caregiver resources and community programs to military families across Greater Boston, Hanscom Air Force Base, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

Jeffrey Chin, executive director of Blue Star Families of New England and a U.S. Navy Reserve officer. “It is clear that Hanscom Federal Credit Union … is one of the premier partners in existence today that truly cares about its members and members of our military-connected community.”
Hanscom said the partnership continues its tradition of expanding access to services while staying rooted in its founding values of trust, community and service.
