MADISON, Wis. – TruStage is commemorating its 90th anniversary.
The company, which for most of its life was known as CUNA Mutual, said it is “celebrating nearly a century of unwavering commitment to the credit union industry and the members we serve. A commitment that has seen TruStage contribute significant time, treasure and talents to the protection of the credit union industry, including recent efforts to preserve the tax-exempt status and maintain the current interchange fee structure.”

“This milestone is a reflection of our strong partnership with credit unions across the country and the shared ‘people helping people’ philosophy we were founded upon,” President and CEO Terrance Williams said in a statement. “We’re honored to have served this industry for 90 years and excited about the future we’re building together with our partners.”

During an event marking the anniversary the company featured a live interview with Wichita Falls, Texas-based PosTel Family Credit Union CEO Rick Hanson and TruStage EVP of Sales and Marketing Tammy Schultz. PosTel sold TruStage’s very first insurance policy.
To show gratitude for its continued support, TruStage made two monetary contributions: One to the credit union itself, and the other to a cause that is “near and dear to the credit union’s heart.”
