Addition Financial CU Launches Co-Branded Debit Card With Leon County Schools

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Addition Financial Credit Union has launched a new co-branded Leon County Schools debit card, designed to give members a “simple, everyday way to support public education.”

Through Addition Financial’s School District Debit Card Program, the credit union will donate $0.03 to the Foundation for Leon County Schools every time a member signs, swipes, or taps the card, turning routine debit card use into ongoing support for students, teachers, and schools across the district.

Addition Financial designed the card alongside Leon County Schools, reflecting the district’s identity and pride while reinforcing the shared commitment to financial education and community impact.

“This program is just one of many great examples of what’s possible when schools and community partners work together in meaningful ways,” said Rocky Hanna, Superintendent of Leon County Schools. “Every transaction made with this card directly benefits our district, creating a steady stream of support that helps us reinvest in our students and schools.”

Leon County Schools becomes the fifth Florida school district to join Addition Financial’s long-standing School District Debit Card Program, which has returned hundreds of thousands of dollars to public education since its launch in 2009.

“What makes the School District Debit Card program so special is that it empowers our members to be part of the impact,” said Kevin Miller, President and CEO of Addition Financial Credit Union. “Every time they use their co-branded Addition Financial debit card, they’re directly supporting Leon County Schools. It reinforces our belief that small actions, done consistently, can make a big difference for students and educators.”

The debit card launch builds on Addition Financial’s expanded partnership with Leon County Schools following the credit union’s merger with Envision Credit Union. The partnership also includes financial education initiatives, volunteer engagement, and plans for a future student-run high school branch that will provide hands-on learning opportunities in personal finance and credit union operations.
