COCKEYSVILLE, Md.— APG Federal Credit Union was joined by local elected officials, community members and industry leaders at a ribbon-cutting event to celebrate the opening of its new Cockeysville branch.
The branch, which officially opened to the public last month, occupies the former WesBanco location at 10301 York Rd, Cockeysville, MD 21030, and serves as the APGFCU’s third Baltimore County location, further expanding its presence in the Baltimore region.
The 2,840-square-foot facility features full-service banking for members and state-of-the-art interactive teller machines (ITMs), which also function as ATMs. The ITMs are accessible through a 24/7 vestibule, providing employee-assisted service during traditional branch hours and ATM services beyond traditional branch hours. This location employs five full-time team members and will serve as a central hub for APGFCU’s outreach efforts to residents and businesses in Baltimore County.

“Last fall, we established a physical presence in Baltimore County, and we’re excited to continue expanding in this market with the opening of this branch in Cockeysville,” said Becky Smith, President and CEO. “This is a significant moment for our growing credit union and reflects the positive impact we’ve seen in the region. With our new branch, we can serve existing members in this market more effectively while welcoming new individuals, families and businesses in the region who are looking for a trusted partner to support their financial goals.”
This opening builds on APGFCU’s recent expansion into Baltimore County. Last August, APGFCU acquired Members First of Maryland Federal Credit Union and gained branch locations in Dundalk and Perry Hall.
It also reflects APGFCU’s broader expansion in the greater Baltimore area. In March, the credit union announced its official expansion into Baltimore City, with the credit union’s first-ever city branch scheduled to open in Canton in the first quarter of 2027.
APGFCU has long been an active partner in the greater Baltimore region, supporting local initiatives as a trusted credit union. Recently, the credit union partnered with four local nonprofits—Baltimore Hunger Project, League for People with Disabilities, Junior Achievement of Central Maryland and Student Support Network—to support area students and residents through hands-on volunteer initiatives.
