ROYAL OAK, Mich.–CUSG, which is a CUSO of the Michigan Credit Union League, has launched a new virtual workshop series it said is designed to empower leadership development across the credit union industry.
The Leadership Forum will be led by Jeff Rendel and will offer “practical, cohort-based learning opportunities for credit union professionals at all levels,” CUSG said.

According to CUSG, the Leadership Forum will feature monthly, interactive workshops focused on real-world challenges and practical leadership tools. Each 60-minute session is designed to engage participants through experiential learning, peer connection, and actionable strategies that can be immediately applied in the workplace, it said.
“Effective leadership is essential to the long-term success of credit unions,” Patty Corkery, President and CEO of CUSG and the Michigan league, said in a statement. “This new forum provides a meaningful opportunity for professionals to grow their skills, share experiences, and invest in the future of their organizations.”
‘Creating Space for Learing’
Added Rendel, “The Leadership Forum is all about creating space for learning that’s both relevant and engaging. Participants will leave each session with a stronger network and tools they can use right away.”
The Leadership Forum kicks off on August 21 and is offered through an annual subscription of $5,000 per credit union.
“This single registration provides unlimited access for all team members, ensuring that everyone can participate and benefit from the full range of workshops throughout the year, the league said.
